Bio
Camila Almeida (b. 2001, Sintra, Portugal) is a visual artist with a Bachelor's Degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. Her work spans painting, installation, and performance, often engaging with themes related to nature, sustainability, and the organization of natural systems.
Camila has participated in exhibitions across Portugal, Spain, and Greece, including projects like “SEEDS - Means for a Sustainable Art Practice” and collaborations with institutions such as Quinta das Relvas and Oficinas do Convento. Artistic residencies, including those at Rural Contemporánea in Spain and CHORUS in Greece, have allowed her to deepen her exploration of the relationship between human and ecological systems.
Her evolving practice reflects a continuous investigation into the intersection of art and the natural world, with a focus on sustainability and the delicate balance between human intervention and nature. Camila’s work has been exhibited in venues such as the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon, contributing to her growing presence in the contemporary art scene.
