Catalysts of Change - Call for Artists: Art Reviews
Deadline
Closed
Insights of an Eco Artist is excited to announce our latest opportunity for artists who are passionate about creating work with social, political, and ecological themes. We invite artists from across the globe to participate in our "Catalysts of Change" series, where your creations will be thoughtfully examined and featured on our platform.
Selected artists will have their work reviewed by Joana Alarcão, the founder of Insights of an Eco Artist, who is not only an artist but also a curator with a deep commitment to promoting art as a means of effecting positive change. Joana's insightful perspective will shed light on your artistic journey and the impact of your work in shaping public opinion and advocating for important causes.
About the curator and founder
Joana Alarcão, a Portuguese Eco-artist, curator, and editor, is an unwavering advocate for the fusion of art, social/environmental justice, and culture. Armed with a profound background in the arts and journalism, Joana has delved into the worlds of over 200 artists, diving deep into their creative processes and unique perspectives. These interviews have not only been featured in various media outlets but have also enriched her role as an editor and curator for "Insights of an Eco Artist." Through this platform, Joana has nurtured a vibrant community of artists driven by a shared passion for art that breeds change.
With the founding of this platform, for the past 3 years, Joana has created two editorial print magazines, a podcast, a myriad of reviews, and interviews available in video, audio, and written forms. Her multifaceted storytelling approach has woven connections among artists from diverse backgrounds, cultivating a dynamic and all-encompassing creative ecosystem.
Joana's work extends beyond the boundaries of her platform. She has collaborated with renowned magazines such as "Women to Women," "Public Offerings Ltd," and "Gatekeeper," as well as the esteemed NGO, "Creative Conscious," and "Arts Help." These collaborations have allowed her to amplify the voices of artists who are committed to creating art with a purpose.
